Education Level: Current College/Graduate work students/ Bachelor's degree.
Job Description and Qualifications:
Franklin Road Academy's summer program serves students in grades Pre-K4 through middle school. We are looking for reliable, motivated, friendly people who are enthusiastic about working with children. We need individuals who have had previous experience working with or supervising groups of children in a variety of settings such as camp, classroom, etc. This job provides invaluable experience for those who are committed to working with children long-term (i.e. future educators, counselors, social workers, physical education, etc.). This is also a great opportunity for those pursuing a Master's degree.
Responsibilities:
Summer Camp Counselor
- Work from 8:00-3:00 or 8:00-5:00 (dependent upon camp needs) Monday - Friday
- Ability to communicate with children on their level
- Comfortable assisting children with basic needs
- Supervise indoor and outdoor activities
- Plan appropriate and meaningful activities for students
- Ability to maintain a classroom
- Effectively implement school mission and guidelines
