Position Summary: Our Radnor, PA office, approximately 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia, is hiring a Relationship Associate (RA) to join our office of approximately 50 investment and trust professionals. The RA provides support to our Portfolio Managers and interacts with clients on a regular basis, managing ongoing client deliverables while serving as an integral member of the client team.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Relationship Associate (Investment Management)?
Frequent interaction with clients, servicing clients’ accounts, including:
- Setting up regular remittances and gifts; responding to account-related questions (investment and non-investment related),
- On-going client service/account maintenance inclusive of investment objectives, compliance letters, regular distributions, cost basis, gain/loss reporting, research reports
- Opens and closes client accounts, including contract preparation and account funding
- Ensures cash is available to process periodic and recurring client requests such as checks, cash transfers, and gifts and tax payments in an efficient and timely manner. Reviews and resolves overdrafts
- Works with Investment Officers / Portfolio Managers to prepare meeting presentations for current and prospective clients as well as quarterly reports
- Assists Officers with preparation of investment programs and follows up with clients
- Resolves issues regarding trades, tender offers and other corporate actions
- Supporting professional staff with various administrative requests
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 – 7 years’ experience in financial services required, preferably with an investment management or wealth management firm. Must have a solid foundation of investment knowledge. Trust knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of various investment and trust systems preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills; must be able to effectively communicate with Senior Portfolio Managers and sophisticated clients
- Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional service to clients; must be client-service oriented with strong relationship management skills
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented with an ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to work from our Radnor, PA office five days per week
Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $70,000 - $85,000.
