What are the responsibilities and job description for the CTEC/Learning Center Receptionist/Secretary position at Franklin Township Community School Corporation?
Starting Hourly Placement: $16.00 (consideration is given for higher pay for previous experience with verification of employment from previous employers)
Position will begin working at central office while being trained for a position at FT Learning Center. Individual will transfer to FTLC on July 1, 2025.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer FTCSC District phone calls at Central Office
- Prepare reports as required by the district and state in the area served.
- Answer the door iintercom for individuals seeking access to the building to determine if they should be allowed in. Scan IDs through SafeSchools and print visitor badges as appropriate.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and either transfer to appropriate personnel or take an accurate message.
- Schedule all Manifestation Determination Conferences (both Special Education and Section 504) for the district. Reserve meeting spaces, send out calendar invites and notices, and the respective version of parent rights. Process all required paperwork to complete the district processes with accuracy.
- Schedule all expulsion hearings for the district. Process all required paperwork to complete the District processes with accuracy.
- Complete the registration process for the online program.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of office experience or equivalency
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Operate standard office equipment
- Efficiently operate a telephone system
- Type/word process accurately at a rate required for successful job performance-minimum 35 net words per minute
- Maintain routine records and files
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required jobs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
