Georgia Elementary Kindergarten Classroom Teacher

Georgia Elementary and Middle School is seeking a dynamic classroom teacher to join our Kindergarten team. This individual will have strong knowledge of all content areas, allowing them to guide students towards proficiency through high-quality instructional practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS)/Common Core standards and be able to apply them in creative and effective ways to meet the diverse needs of students. Candidates must have the ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students while establishing a classroom environment with clear routines and expectations.

Experience with OG, Heggerty, and PBIS preferred.Responsibilities: *Ensure equitable and inclusive educational opportunities for all students.*Be willing to collaborate, learn, and grow within a team. *Build strong, collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. *Effectively communicate with a variety of constituents, including students, faculty, administrators, parents, and the broader school community.*Utilize PBIS and Responsive Classroom practices to foster a sense of belonging.*Demonstrates an understanding of Common Core State Standards and applies knowledge in order to develop age appropriate lessons.*Reflect upon their practice and data to continue to grow professionally.*Focused on establishing and ensuring a multi-layered system of supports in their classroom
