On-Site Construction Manager – Central & Northern New Jersey
We are a well-established General Construction firm with nearly 50 years of experience, seeking an experienced and motivated On-Site Construction Manager to join our team. This role is based in Central and Northern New Jersey and requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the construction of new and renovated public and private buildings.
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, from permits to closeout.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain a safe and efficient job site, enforcing OSHA standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Conduct meetings with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
- Utilize project management software such as Procore and scheduling tools like Microsoft Project.
- Handle AIA contract administration and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of construction field experience, with at least 5 years in a lead role managing projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and industry best practices.
- Experience working on both public and private sector projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain).
- College degree preferred but not required.
