What are the responsibilities and job description for the LMS Special Education Teacher position at Frankton-Lapel Community Schools?
Qualifications: Valid Indiana Special Education Teaching License, and Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning
Salary-Fringe Benefits: In accordance with the Master Contract
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning, Positive Behavior Instruction and Support, special education principles, theories, testing, methods, etc., as well as proven methods of maximizing the educational experience of students with diverse learning needs. Knowledge of data information systems, analysis, and formulation of action plans, applicable federal and state laws regarding special education and students. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work, communicate effectively with students and parents, to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth, as well as the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
