Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of the HR function, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and training. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in HR principles and be able to effectively manage a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job posting, candidate screening, and interview coordination
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications
- Conduct employee evaluations, provide feedback, and support performance improvement plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our HRIS system, including employee data, benefits, and performance records
- Manage and coordinate employee onboarding, including paperwork, benefits, and training
- Provide support with training development and implementation
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Assist with FMLA and workers' compensation claims
- Support employee relations by responding to employee inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on company policies
- Utilize social media management tools to maintain a strong employer brand and engage with employees and job seekers
- Manage and maintain our HR software tools, including Kronos, (UKG)
- Partner with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and federal regulations
- Develop and maintain HR-related reports and metrics
- Collaborate with HR leadership to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for process enhancements
- Support with recruiting efforts, including job posting, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination
- Utilize HR software tools, including UKG, to manage the recruitment process
-Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Supports HR Manager on day to day duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Proven experience in an HR role, preferably in a generalist capacity
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, including recruitment, employee relations, training development, and benefits administration
- Experience with HRIS systems and other HR software tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Familiarity with FMLA and workers' compensation regulations
- Proficiency in social media management and recruiting tools
- High school diploma or GED required, with some college or an associate's degree preferred.
- Must be bilingual (english/spanish)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
