Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing projects including new installations, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing system layouts and installations
- Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to discuss project requirements, timelines, and progress
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior plumbers and apprentices
- Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using advanced tools and techniques
- Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods
- Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose complex issues or defects
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress
- Train and mentor junior plumbers, apprentices, and helpers
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Plumber I or 5-10 years in a plumbing role
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
- Extensive experience in interpreting and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
