Job Type: Hourly, Part-time, Non-Exempt
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $27 - $36 per hour (Weekly Pay) Commensurate with experience and performance
- Paid Training: Compensation for training sessions to ensure you are well-prepared for your role

Services we provide include surveillance, statement & interviews, activities checks, background checks, and other investigative endeavors. Through our Frasco Profiles division we provide national and international pre-employment screening.
Requirements
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Review cases referred to the Special Investigative Unit
- Communicate with clients to develop a Plan of Action and strategy for investigating potentially fraudulent cases
- Prepare detailed, narrative, timely reports that will keep our clients current with investigation status
- Prepare and submit timely Suspected Fraudulent Claim Reports to the Department of Insurance, appropriate District Attorney’s Office, or other proper Law Enforcement Agencies
- Prepare and submit timely Documented Fraud Referrals to the Department of Insurance, appropriate District Attorney’s Office, or other proper Law Enforcement Agencies
- Develop and maintain contacts and liaison with the Department of Insurance, District Attorney offices, and other Law Enforcement Agencies
- Attend training and remain current with all Department of Insurance requirements
- Monitor and remain up to date with current fraud trends and schemes
Essential qualifications and equipment include, but are not limited to:
- 2 years of experience working as a SIU Investigator (Fraud Investigator) OR 5 years of experience working as a Claims Examiner
- General knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, and specifically California Department of Insurance SIU regulations
- Ability to transition attention to cases involving different insurance lines and handle cases in multiple states
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple clients
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and quality
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to model behaviors that reflect Frasco’s core values
- Ability to work from home (must have strong and reliable Internet connection)
- Computer or laptop
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Field investigations experience – Face to face statements
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
