Summer Youth Peer Mentor Lead

Responsibilities:
Duties include development and coordination of the Skill Enhancement Training Program, a non-center based program, areas to address are program development, STM training and supervision, scheduling done weekly, weekly program progress reports to participants, parents and/or Guardians, and participant assessments.

Maintenance of state contracts as applicable.

Time management skills and the ability to be flexible in organizing a work load are essential.

Coordination of the Fraser Ltd. Volunteer Camp.

Facilitation of meetings, and attendance at necessary program sessions, IEP’s/IHP’s etc.

Assesses and assists to train people in accordance with the Skill Enhancement Training Life Skills Course and their Individual Program Plan with priorities established by the IPP team.

Prepares meals and provides hands-on training to people in accordance with established menus.

Supervises medication and provides hands-on training in accordance with medication procedures.

Supervises behavioral areas as relevant to people living in the community and assists in personal adjustment to residential living.

Monitors health needs daily and follows designated procedures.

Supports people with personal hygiene to achieve clean, well-groomed personal appearance throughout shift.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises Support Team Members in the Skill Enhancement Training Program.

Education and/or Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

Experience in curriculum development is preferred.

Training begins end of May, programs runs June 5 – August 11th with opportunity for employment when program concludes!

Hours: 9:45a-5pm M-F
