Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Lead Server is to create an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, staff and visitors in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dining Manager and/or Director of Dining Services, to assure that quality service is provided at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all functions of Dining Service Wait Staff.
- Trains new staff in the service style of the facility’s standard operating procedures, models good employee morale, and provides hands on support as needed.
- Provides quality control of dining room appearance and operation.
- Provides leadership to Wait Staff.
- Opens and closes dining room when neither a manager nor a supervisor is present.
- Ensures daily server tasks are complete at the end of every shift.
- Acts a backup Dining Supervisor.
- Completes assignments and duties accurately and timely.
- Is knowledgeable in and is able to participate in all aspects of Catering function operations.
- Adheres to food safety standards as regulated by department. And knowledgeable about allergen information
- Adheres to uniform guidelines.
Requirements:

- 1 year experience in a restaurant setting, preferably in senior services.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, guests, and staff.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
- Computer competency required.
- Must successfully pass organization required background screening.
- Must successfully complete organization health screening requirements.
We work with a vulnerable population, and to protect our residents, an up-to-date annual Influenza (Flu) vaccine, TB test, Drug Screen and Background Check are conditions of employment. Covid vaccination is encouraged but not required.
