Plant Engineer Manager

Fratco, a leader in American-made drainage tile, is built on grit, innovation, and precision. We’re looking for a hands-on Plant Engineer Manager who’s ready to lead from the front — someone with deep engineering know-how, a drive for process improvement, and a steady hand in people management. Based at our Francesville, IN facility, this role places you at the heart of both the production floor and the leadership team, where your hands-on presence will influence daily operations and drive long-term success.

What You’ll Do

Drive our plant operations — leading production, maintenance, quality, and logistics. You’ll be the force behind our efficiency, pushing systems forward, while mentoring and managing your team. From optimizing manufacturing processes to streamlining workflows and implementing lean strategies, your work will directly impact the bottom line.

What You’ll Do

• Direct day-to-day operations across production, maintenance, and shipping
• Manage team performance, training, and evaluations with a people-first mindset
• Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
• Maintain strong compliance with safety standards and company protocols
• Collaborate with executive leadership to plan budgets, set goals, and meet production targets
• Lead process innovation and continuous improvement across the plant
• Ensure SOPs are current, understood, and executed effectively
  
  

Who You Are

• A Bachelor’s degree holder in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering
• A leader with 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and plant operations
• Decisive, strategic, and calm under pressure — you solve problems and drive change
• A communicator who builds respect and trust across all levels of a team
• Proficient in lean manufacturing principles; Six Sigma certification is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish or German is preferred
