Hospitality Construction Superintendent Position Summary:
Frazee D&J Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Hospitality Construction Superintendent to join our team in Hamilton, Bermuda. Immediate job opportunity as the Hospitality Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing field activities related to hospitality renovation and construction projects. This includes planning, scheduling, and administration to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of hospitality renovation and construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, construction documents, and specifications.
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings with trades in order to maintain effective working relationships.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Supervise trades people to ensure project specifications are being maintained and work performed is per documents.
- Review construction schedule progress on a daily basis and ensure trade commitments are being met.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the hospitality environment with focus on rough construction and finishes.
- Proven experience as a Hospitality Construction Superintendent or a similar role within the hospitality construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment, as well as industry regulations and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to effectively coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet project demands.
- Ability to obtain work permit in Bermuda and relocate for project duration.
- The job will last approximately 14 months.
