About the Role:
The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for the smooth operation of the food service environment, as it directly impacts the efficiency of the kitchen staff and the overall dining experience for customers. The Dishwasher will be responsible for adhering to health and safety regulations while performing their duties, contributing to a safe and hygienic workplace. By efficiently managing the dishwashing process, the Dishwasher helps to minimize wait times for customers and supports the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals. Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read and follow instructions in English.
- Experience in a food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including food prep and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies.
