Summary
Frazier Industrial Company is the industry leader in structural steel storage racking and is seeking a Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter.
This position, found in Idaho Falls, Idaho, will manage recruiting for all positions at this location. This will include writing job descriptions, posting ads, interviewing candidates, coordinating interviews with other hiring decision makers, coordinating start dates with candidates, reference checks, and candidate tracking, and arranging for pre-employment screenings. Attendance at career fairs and setting up job fairs will also be needed.
Other responsibilities include HR administration support for the Idaho Falls plant and cross training with the Office Manager to aid during their time off. The Human Resource Generalist handles performing HR-Related duties on a professional level, working closely with the Plant Manager and other plant HR team members in supporting organizational goals. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits administration, training, onboarding, employment law compliance, payroll, safety, etc.
Must have Requirements:
· A minimum of 3-5 years of recruiting and HR generalist experience
· Experience with processing applicants through the complete recruiting lifecycle, i.e., orientation and all new hire paperwork
· Interpersonal and relationship building skills
· Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
· Meticulous, with ability to manage a demanding environment and multi-tasking, and quality work
· Ability to work independently and take ownership
· Strong knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws, regulations, and practices
· On-boarding new hires and helping new employees with new hire paperwork
Preferred Knowledge and/or Experience:
· Manufacturing or construction company HR practices and procedures
· Experience using ADP Workforce Now
· Knowledge and experience processing FMLA and workers compensation leaves, issues, and claims
· Experience investigating employee issues raised by managers and/or employee complaints and/or issues and prepare necessary documentation. Facilitate actions to resolve the complaints and/or issues.
· Ability to actively engage with the surrounding communities
· Perform Market Analysis and Marketing
Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities Include:
· Ensures compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulatory requirements including but not limited to the Fair Labor Standards Act(FLSA), the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
· Provide consultation to management on all HR / Recruiting issues
· Consults and coaches shift leads and supervisors on thoroughly and objectively evaluating recommendations for employee merit raises for compensation events
· Coordinate and conduct market analysis, wage surveys, job analysis, job evaluations, and job classification
· Performs recruitment activities such as daily recruitment calls, posting on really, ZipRecruiter, etc., pre-screening applications, conducting phone screens, interviews, and conducting reference checks for all positions (exempt and nonexempt)
· Hires, conducts, and coordinates new hire onboarding, orientation, and approval documents per ADP requirements
· Reviews attendance, performance, verbal, and written warnings and if necessary, terminates employees
· Conducts employee complaint investigations including consulting with management and legal counsel, and recommends proper resolution and / or disciplinary action, including termination
· Back-up and assist with time clock, time sheet management (attendance), process bi-monthly payroll in MES and ADP
· Find and resolve pay issues and process raises, bonus, and incentive payments
· Prepares and gives weekly manning/recruiting report and monthly headcount / turnover reports
· Submit weekly pay requests for temporary employment agency employees
· Coordinates and / or conduct applicable training for employees and management
· Maintains proper employee records and adheres to records retention schedules
· Assists with organizational development, talent development, and succession planning
· Oversee and process company benefits, including paid time off, group health insurance, open enrollment, health savings account, and retirement (when applicable)
· Participates in Plant leadership team, respectfully sharing opinions and ideas
Schedule and Additional Benefits Information:
The schedule is four 10-hour shifts: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5:30pm with lunch built in. The pay range is $62K to $68K per year depending on experience. Also eligible for a quarterly bonus of up to 10% based on plant performance. The position includes two-week paid vacation, 1-week sick PTO, and ten paid holidays.
