About the Program
The Frazier Kids Afterschool Program is designed to address the critical need for additional support and services to nurture the whole student, particularly within the Frazier community. While Frazier Revitalization is not a state-licensed childcare facility in Texas, we collaborate with neighborhood stakeholders to take collective responsibility for developing and implementing programs that meet the needs of our students. Our goal is to foster social-emotional development, enhance academic performance, encourage higher education aspirations, and create activities that engage and benefit the entire family.
The Afterschool Program Leader/Summer Camp Program Leader is a part-time position with the Frazier Kids Out of School Time (OST) program. This role involves planning, organizing, and leading educational activities in a supportive learning environment to help students reach their full academic potential. The program serves Pre-K through 8th grade students and runs Monday through Thursday from 2:30–6:00 PM. Expanded hours in the summer are Monday through Thursday from 8:30-3:30 PM.

- Design, prepare, and implement enrichment activities that promote active learning.
- Develop and deliver weekly lesson plans.
- Provide homework assistance and academic support.
- Foster a safe and engaging learning environment where students feel supported.
- Establish and enforce clear behavioral expectations and procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students through active supervision.
- Perform moderate physical activities, including standing, bending, and lifting as required.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as directed by the Director of Youth and Family Programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an afterschool setting
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to create high quality lessons
- Ability to manage afterschool students effectively
- Ability to communicate efficiently
- Standard CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
