  • What you'll do :

  • Train, coordinate and supervise the accounting staff to efficiently and effectively account for the financial performance of the above mentioned stores in accordance with the financial standards, policies and procedures of the Fred Beans Family of Dealerships
  • Review and monitor assets and liabilities for the above stores and research any items that appear unusual or unreconciled. This includes running schedules periodically and reviewing them with the individuals responsible for those schedule
  • Coordinate the month end process, prepare appropriate adjusting entries and ensure the statements are prepared in a timely fashion
  • Maintain 8300 files and send forms at the required time annually. Review the law periodically with managers and report at once any noncompliance.
  • Oversee employee investment account and send annual 1099s.
  • Prepare and facilitate monthly office meetings with controller
  • Be a mentor to the office staff and aid in improving the job efficiency of the office staff. Keep current office job descriptions and perform annual performance reviews.
  • Open, sort and distribute mail. Notify general manager, controller or dealer principal at once of any reportable or unusual mail piece.
  • Learn and provide support for all functions of the Accounting Office. Provide support and coordinate for vacations and time off.
  • Approve all accounts payable invoices for accounting department purchases.
  • Maintain a delivery / floor plan payoff log to meet the floor plan pay off guidelines of the financial source.
  • Run and review the Parts Pending Report. Review first with the A / R Collections person. Insure that people on C.O.D. are not accumulating pending tickets. Follow up with the Parts Department at each store. Bring problems to the attention of the GM.
  • Print open R.O. Reports weekly for all open R.O.s over 14 days old and give to the SM. Run a second copy for the GM. (The service manager has the primary responsibility to follow-up on open R.O.s, thus the reason for the liberal number of follow-up days.)
  • Requirements

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Better than average ability in filing
