Rising Oaks is a transitional housing program that provides housing and supportive services to 30 transition age youth (ages 18-25) who have aged out of the foster care and/or juvenile probation systems. The program has a multidisciplinary team and offers an array of supportive services to residents, including individual and group therapy, case management, educational and vocational coaching, and peer mentorship.

What You Will Do
Under administrative and clinical supervision (Mental Health Therapist I) or consultation and direction (Mental Health Therapist II), provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned participants and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual and group therapy, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of transition-age youth; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned.

Full Time, Exempt – Monday - Friday
Salary Range
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $33.03 and $42.15 per hour, payable bi-weekly. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):
Education:
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field; and
Mental Health Therapist I: One (1) year of internship experience providing mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
Mental Health Therapist II: Two (2) years of post-master’s experience providing professional mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment.
Mental Health Therapist I: Possession of a valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment. Some programs may consider candidates who are able to obtain registered status within the first six (6) months after hire.
Mental Health Therapist II: Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment.
(*) For LPCC/PCCI’s, the county-specific eligibility must be verified by the hiring manager including certification by the BBS to work with families, as required.
