**This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the McLean, VA office and 3 days remote**

Since 2009, Multifamily Capital Markets has been a leader in Credit Risk Transfer (CRT), pioneering the development of innovative capital markets products that effectively transfer credit risk while enhancing market liquidity. Our portfolio includes senior subordinate securitized products, such as those within the K-deal suite, as well as CRT products like MSCR and MCIP. These transactions play a critical role in safeguarding Freddie Mac and taxpayers by mitigating risk during economic downturns while also improving operational efficiency by optimizing capital requirements.
Your Impact:
You will be involved in providing analytics to support CRT strategy, improve deal execution, and contribute to building better CRT portfolio surveillance. Additionally, you will identify and recommend transaction opportunities to improve CRT efficiency and effectiveness. Your will also act as the CRT liaison with model/methodology owners for model/application updates and enhancements that impact CRT valuation and analytics.
You will be expected to be involved in the following tasks:
Develop a deep understanding of commercial real estate (CRE) finance and fixed-income markets, including macroeconomic trends, multifamily mortgage regulations, competitive dynamics, and relative value analysis across various capital markets executions.
Analyze Multifamily business and risk transfer strategy and its impact on earnings, risk exposure, capital requirements and profitability
Identify emerging trends in new business and in our portfolio related to credit and market risk evaluations and work with the team to devise new products/structures to optimize risk adjusted returns
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline
At least 5-7 years of work experiences related to fixed income securities and mortgage related products
Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills. Able to think outside the box.
Knowledge of Python, SQL or VBA programing and database knowledge
Familiar with deal cashflow models and structures of CMBS/RMBS
Good communication and presentation skills
CFA charter holder or candidate, preferred
Multifamily, capital markets and/or finance experience, preferred

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $140,000 - $210,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.Salary : $140,000 - $210,000
