Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front office operations. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare provider.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, ensuring accuracy in the system.
- Process insurance payments and collect payments from patients.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Filing
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the medical office.
- Willing to work in Pennsboro, Wv office two days a week, Marietta, Oh office 3 days a week
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with billing processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with processing insurance payments.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.
