We are seeking a detail-oriented and task-driven associate to join our team. The Associate will utilize both in-store and online channels to support customer sales of estate jewelry and precious metal bullion. The associate will provide excellent customer service to both the online and the retail customer. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, progress, and grow within the company. Although this role supports our Rockville location, the expectation is to be available to work in Frederick as needed, with the first 3 months exclusively at our Frederick location.
Essential Responsibilities
Utilizing both in-store and online channels, the customer sales associate is primarily responsible for selling estate jewelry and also precious metal bullion
Greeting customers and helping them assess the ways we can help them with their needs
Performing tasks related to sales reporting, projections, and record keeping.
Maintaining store appearance
Sorting, organizing, and packaging of inventory
Calculating accurate arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Adhering to all local, state, and federals laws pertaining to the buying and selling of precious metals and jewelry
Performing all operational procedures accurately, in accordance with existing policies
Additional Duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED
Computer Proficiency including Google Suite
Skills & Competencies :
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Problem-solving skills & general math skills (ability to use a calculator for basic computation)
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able and motivated to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
Physical Demands and Work Environment :
It may involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment, and requires working with multiple computer screens and programs simultaneously for extended periods
Must be able to sit for up to eight hours per day, type on the computer for several hours a day, talk on the phone frequently throughout the day, stand for up to 8 hours at events or offsite venues, and climb stairs multiple times throughout the day
Must be able to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Must be able to pass a background check and substance screening
