Monday - Friday
3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Shift differential of $2.50/hr)What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Medication Aide, you will:
- Administer prescribed medications to incarcerated patients, ensuring adherence to medical orders and facility protocols
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper ingestion/application of medications
- Maintain accurate documentation of all medication administration and patient observations using electronic medical records
- Monitor patients’ responses to medications and notify the nurse of any unexpected reactions
- Assist with basic medical evaluations, including obtaining vital signs and diabetic readings
- Manage and maintain medication inventories in accordance with facility policies and reorder supplies as needed
- Follow strict security guidelines while providing care in a correctional facility
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Registered Medication Aide (RMA) certification
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years
- Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and concise patient records
- Understanding of security protocols in a correctional setting
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situation
