CTE - Technology Education Teacher (FCMS & ABMS)
Frederick County Public Schools, VA is seeking technology education teachers at James Wood High School. We are located in the Shenandoah Valley, just 65 miles west of Washington, D.C. The technology education teacher plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students. Candidates must hold, or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Technology Education. Individuals with no prior teaching experience who do not hold a Virginia teaching license will be considered if they hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major in one of the following fields of study: architecture, design, graphics, engineering, industrial technology, or physics.
Candidates must possess knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, and materials for technology education. Excellent human relations, interpersonal communications, conflict resolution, organizational and planning skills are required. Must have the ability to recognize and respond to individual student differences. Must be able to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner with parents, co-workers, school staff and service providers.
The salary range is $52,000 to $97,694 per year. These positions are effective for the 2025-2026 school year.
