- Reviews and verifies assets received against Equipment Transfer Form (ETF).
- Photographs and posts assets and surplus equipment to be sold on the online auction site.
- Reconciles monthly revenue report from assets and sold surplus equipment from the online auction site against monthly funds received from online auction vendor.
- Ensures the documentation from buyers on online auction site matches FCPS’ documentation.
- Coordinates and schedules pickup of assets and surplus equipment sold on the online auction sites.
- Interacts and greets onsite buyers during pick up.
- Distributes lists with photographs of assets and surplus equipment available to schools and offices for redistribution.
- Conducts annual inventory of assets assigned to the Warehouse and/or designated as surplus.
- Assists with inquiries on warehouse surplus inventory procedures, terminology, and processes.
- Prepares and processes all required reports and paperwork concerning sold, recycled, redistributed, or disposed of assets and surplus equipment.
- Maintains inventory listing of Warehouse assets and systemic surplus equipment.
- Composes routine correspondence.
- Uses automated systems to assist with warehousing and the inventory and sale of assets and surplus equipment.
- Assists with physical inventory and cycle counting.
- Assists Warehouse Foreman with inventory discrepancies.
- Performs backup duties for all positions that come under the supervision of the Warehouse Foreman, as assigned.
- Acts in place of the Administrative Secretary, as assigned.

- Performs other duties consistent with the scope and nature of the position.

- Advanced computer knowledge, preferably with Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft software.
- Working knowledge of the general organization and functions of the major units of FCPS.
- Familiarity with the FCPS policies, goals and programs.

Salary
Under the Fair Labor and Standards Act this position is exempt from overtime. Actual salary placement will be in accordance with the salary procedures of the Frederick County Public School System. Please see linked salary scale for the full range
Role
The Warehouse Asset Specialist receives, stores, issues, catalogs, and photographs assets and surplus equipment for redistribution, sale, recycle, and disposal. This position serves as the liaison between the buyers on the public online auction platform and Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS).
