What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Frederick Fox?
This position is for a highly motivated, energetic, and positive individual with accounting management and controlling experience as part of our growing North America team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hold fiduciary responsibility, holding the Employer’s financial interests in highest regard and advising the President & CEO on all financial matters
- Monitor financial performance of the company
- Develop and drive finance & accounting department KPI’s
- Responsible for all finance and accounting operations for North America (Conroe, TX) and Services/Sales (Toronto, CAN)
- Main contact for all group internal financial and administrative topics
- Work closely with Group Controlling team and Group CFO
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financials as well as management reporting packages
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee company’s accounting processes including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, intercompany accounting
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
- Monitor profitability ratios to assist with investment decisions
- Coordinate annual financial audits
- Treasury management including detailed cash flow forecasting six months out
- Manage local state, and federal tax filings as well as government reporting in cooperation with local tax advisory
- Risk management
- HR responsibilities including payroll management and administration, hiring and onboarding processes
- Employee benefit management and administration
- Manage and supervise accounting and office administration team
Education and / or Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar
- CPA preferred
- At least 10 years of accounting and controlling experience
- International business and accounting experience preferred
- Experience with international tax topics preferred (transfer pricing, etc.)
- Management experience preferred.
- Experience working within SAP ERP system preferred
- Proficiency and experience using MS Teams preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel
- Experience working with Lucanet software preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English and German preferred
- Excellent time management skills

- Team player with great interpersonal skills
Job Conditions/Work Schedule:
- This position is in an office setting and requires frequent time spent sitting and using a computer and phone
- This position does not allow for a remote or hybrid work schedule
- Occasional travel required (once a quarter, mostly to Toronto, CAN)
- Monday – Friday, 40-hour work weeks with core office hours from 9am to 4pm
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
