Director of Development

The ideal candidate will be an outgoing relationship-builder that is responsible for all partnerships and finance analytics related to the organization's potential opportunities. You will lead due diligence and build a strategic approach to all mergers and acquisitions that will help accelerate the company's financial growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic transactions, investment evaluations, and M&A execution.
• Develop detailed financial models, valuations, and return analyses for acquisitions and strategic investments.
• Lead due diligence efforts, working cross-functionally to assess operational, financial, and legal risks.
• Engage directly with third-party advisors (legal, financial, tax, and consulting teams) to support transaction execution.
• Structure, negotiate, and execute deal terms, including NDAs, term sheets, letters of intent, and definitive agreements.
• Provide strategic insights on potential acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities.
• Assess credit and financing implications, ensuring deals align with corporate financial goals.
• Support capital-raising efforts, including equity financing, debt issuance, and refinancing strategies.
• Present transaction opportunities and strategic insights to senior leadership and board members.
• Distill complex financial analyses into clear, strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or M&A within a high-growth or PE-backed company.
• Proven track record of executing acquisitions, leading due diligence, and structuring complex transactions.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CFA highly preferred.
• Advanced expertise in financial modeling, deal structuring, and valuation methodologies.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional teams.
• Industry experience in infrastructure, logistics, transportation, or public-private partnerships (PPP, P3) is a plus but not required.
