PRN Lactation Consultant- Variable shifts

Provides education, support and counseling of expectant and new parents on breastfeeding.  Demonstrate an understanding of lactation and be able to offer phone consultations on breastfeeding concerns.

PRN status- Requires employee must be scheduled to work a minimum of 72 hours in a calendar quarter in order to maintain their PRN status.
At least two shifts per quarter must occur on a weekend.
The employee is required to work two holidays per year, either one major and one minor, or one spring/summer and one fall/winter, as determined by the nurse leader for each unit.
Work hours could occur on various shifts to cover regular full and part time staff, or provide support for high patient volumes.

BSN preferred
CPR and NRP required
IBCLC certification required

Pay is based on experience, skills and education.   If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours.  The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Pay range: $34.00 - $52.00
