We are a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a full spectrum of care from retirement living, personal care, licensed healthcare, rehabilitation services, respite to memory care services.

Status: Full Time Days
Hiring For:
- Full Time - 6am-2:30pm including every other weekend
Salary Range: Experienced based pay starting at $20/hr

As a Cook Supervisor, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Understanding and preparation of recipes and / or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
- Assists with the supervision of Dining Services Personnel.
- Prepares bakery items, take and receives inventory, moves and lifts food stuffs and supplies and prepares meals for customers according to customer need or dietary restriction.
- Serves as lead cook by guiding, assisting, training, and assigning tasks.
- Under minimal supervision, independently performs advanced cooking duties in preparing food items to be served to customers.
- Advanced knife skills required.
- Assist in food ordering, according to menu and department need.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Supports all Dining Services department restaurants and Campus Events.
- Prepares food and serves customers at an a la carte or station.
- Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.
- Reads food order or receives verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepares and cooks food according to instructions.
- Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
- Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
What do I need for this role with Frederick Living?
- Knowledge of cooking procedures and large quantity recipes.
- Able to prepare and serve food according to menus and recipes.
- Graduate of food related course helpful (Serv Safe).
