The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The lab addresses some of the most urgent and intractable problems in the biomedical sciences in cancer and AIDS, drug development and first-in-human clinical trials, applications of nanotechnology in medicine, and rapid response to emerging threats of infectious diseases.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Subcontracts Department provides acquisition support to the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) as well as operations and specific subcontracting support for other related Government initiatives. Specifically, Subcontracting provides pre- and post-award acquisition and administration for highly complex research programs, scientific services, field trials, and related projects at FNLCR through execution of agreements with third parties, often commercial companies and non-profit research institute and universities. We currently seek a Subcontract Closeout Specialist to join the Closeout team at our Frederick, MD location.
KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review expired Subcontracts to determine closeout suitability based on established Policy and Procedure.
- Perform Contract Closeout function which includes :
- Ensuring proper reconciliations of all Subcontract data has been received and accepted
- Collaborate with business operations, contracts, accounting, and other relevant groups to ensure all data is properly analyzed and reconciled for closeout
- Respond to funding de-obligation requests received by the customer at various times throughout the year
- Ensure company's contract closeout process and checklists are appropriately completed in accordance with the policy
