Welding Shop Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our welding team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a deep understanding of various welding techniques, including Stick welding and FCAW. As a Welding Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards are met, and foster a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the welding team to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Able to provide time and cost estimates per quote requests.
• Train and mentor welders on best practices, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Fabricate and assemble components as needed, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all hand tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any production issues.
• Operate forklifts as necessary for material handling within the facility.
• Seeking a team player, willing to step into multiple roles to ensure company success.

Skills

• Proficient in Stick welding and FCAW techniques with a solid understanding of welding processes.
• Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precision in work.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools used in welding operations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during production.
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to welding operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.67 per hour
