QUALIFICATIONS :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; however, other duties may be assigned as needed :
- Responsible for planning and finishing all painting needs for the school division
- Performs carpentry, repair of equipment, and other building tasks
- Repair / service locks, keys, closures, and other door hardware
- Operates a variety of automotive and landscaping equipment
- Mows, seeds, fertilizes lawns, trims and maintains shrubbery and flower beds
- Performs snow removal at all building sites
- Assists with custodial type duties when needed
- Performs related duties as assigned by Supervisor of Maintenance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL / TECHNOLOGY SKILLS :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : 12 Months - 8 hours per day
EVALUATION : Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
