Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and providing exceptional service. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about products.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies; assist in ordering and restocking as needed.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling practices at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change accurately.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts is a plus for managing inventory effectively.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
