We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a supportive environment. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with food production and ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Buss tables and assist residents during meal times, providing support as needed to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
- Help with inventory management, including stocking supplies and reporting any shortages to the Dietary Department.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
- Follow all safety protocols while handling food and kitchen equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a similar role within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Understanding of basic food safety practices is an advantage.
- Must be able to lift light to moderate weights as required for food service tasks.
- Must be able to work weekends
