What are the responsibilities and job description for the Canine Handler position at Free Dog?
Here at Free Dog, it’s our mission to ensure each guest and member is healthy both emotionally and physically. So, if you feel the same and are energetic, organized, fun-loving, and compassionate, we would love for you to join our team.
You must be dependable because the animals and the team count on you. THIS IS A PHYSICAL JOB. Please do not apply if you do not want a physical job or have issues preventing you from doing so.
Tasks include:
It's important that our guests, even the old and lazy, get out and move around, so your mission, if you dare, is to be a companion to them and learn what they like. This includes playing if they want to play, teaching if they like to learn, and hanging with them if they desire it. Nothing is more rewarding than figuring out how to bring out the most in each guest.
Feeding and Medicating our guests: this requires attention to detail, ensuring each guest is fed and medicated correctly.
Being a leader to our members (dog daycare) includes leadership exercises, playing and managing our small packs, and ensuring clean and safe environments.
Cleaning is a big part of caring for our beloved canines, so attention to detail and ensuring their environments are clean is a big part of keeping our guests and members healthy.
