Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders
Department:
Department of Biological, Physical, and Human Sciences

Full Time, Faculty (9 Month)
Reports To:
Department Chair of Biological, Physical, and Human Sciences

Position Summary:
As an assistant professor of communication sciences and disorders, this role involves teaching core courses within the program. Additional responsibilities include academic advising and providing leadership in program assessment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teaches 27 hours, as assigned, annually within the Department of Biological, Physical, and Human Sciences
2. Serves as an academic advisor for departmental majors.
3. Serves on university committees as assigned.
4. Attends daily Chapel.
5. Participates in university recruitment activities.
6. This job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the above duties. This position may temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Master’s in Communication Sciences & Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, hold CCC status from ASHA, hold an SLP license in the state of Tennessee or transfer current license to Tennessee. Experience teaching in the sciences is highly desirable along with experience in clinical supervision.
