Shipping Clerk

**Position: **Shipping Clerk

Department: Shipping and Receiving Night 7:00am - 3:30pm

**Position Summary

:

**

A Shipping Clerk oversees and keeps records of all shipping and receiving. They are responsible for organizing sorting and transferring goods from one location to another.

**

**

**Duties and Responsibilities:

**

• Coordinate shipping activities, including packing, labeling, and loading/unloading shipments.

• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

• Prepare shipping document, including bills of landing, shipping labels, packing slips.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking numbers, and delivery confirmations.

• Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity.

• Address and resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet delivery deadlines and resolve customer inquiries.

• Communicate shipping updates and issues to management.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Physical Demands

**

• Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.

• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.

• Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.

• Must be able to bend and squat frequently.

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.

**Required Knowledge and/or Experience

**

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

• Minimum of 3 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.

• Attention to detail.

• Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

• Ability to read English.

• Ability to read picklist and orders.

• Must have strong math and metrology skills.

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.

• Experience with ERP, WMS, or TMS

Pay Rate: $18 - $20 per hour
