Freedom 1st Medical Transport proudly serves the Upstate with a commitment to provide our patients, customers and staff with the best value and quality in healthcare, safety and transportation. Full-time, some Saturdays required. Hours vary by call volume, but the typical workday ends between 4-6pm. 8-to-12-hour shifts.

MAIN FUNCTION:
Provide patient assessment, treatment, and transportation for ill and injured patients in a courteous, professional manner.
DUTIES:
- Performs basic life support skills.
- Provide the appropriate patient care and transportation following protocols.
- Write patient reports and other pertinent paperwork in accordance with Freedom 1st paperwork policy.
- Abides by all Freedom 1st policies and procedures.
- Properly care for and maintain the vehicle including, but not limited to stocking the vehicle per company standards.
- Assists with the functional operations of the company.
- Keeps the Base clean and orderly.
- Report to work on time and in appropriate uniform with proper equipment.
- Always comply with Appearance and Uniform Policies.
- Must be willing to perform the duties listed above and other duties as assigned.
- Must comply with all Corporate Compliance Requirements
- Attends in-service classes on a regular basis or provide adequate documentation of DHEC approved in-service training with another organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be certified by the State of South Carolina as an EMT-Basic or higher level.
- Must maintain State Certification at all times.
- Must keep proof of Certifications with you at all times.
- Must be able to show proficiency in all state-required skills for the EMT-Basic.
- Must possess a valid CPR card. (American Heart or Red Cross)
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the employee currently resides.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
