The Splicer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality connections and adherence to safety standards while working with LAN and Ethernet systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform fiber splicing tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all connections.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems (Fiber).
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various installation tasks.
- Operate bucket trucks safely to access overhead installations.
- Read and interpret schematics to execute installation plans accurately.
- Collaborate with field service teams to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Document work completed, including any issues encountered and resolutions implemented.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with fiber splicing techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with LAN and Ethernet networking standards.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and cabling practices is preferred.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks and other necessary equipment safely.
- Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various field conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
