Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fiber splicing and cabling, as well as a strong understanding of low voltage systems. This role involves working in various field environments, utilizing both hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs. The Splicer will be responsible for ensuring high-quality connections and adherence to safety standards while working with LAN and Ethernet systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fiber splicing tasks, ensuring precision and quality in all connections.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems (Fiber).
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various installation tasks.
  • Operate bucket trucks safely to access overhead installations.
  • Read and interpret schematics to execute installation plans accurately.
  • Collaborate with field service teams to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections of installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document work completed, including any issues encountered and resolutions implemented.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with fiber splicing techniques and equipment.
  • Familiarity with LAN and Ethernet networking standards.
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and cabling practices is preferred.
  • Ability to operate bucket trucks and other necessary equipment safely.
  • Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various field conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Fiber splicing: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: In person
