As an MHT, you will function as a member of the nursing staff to facilitate high quality patient care. While supporting the licensed nursing staff, the MHT will be readily available to provide direct patient care for our patients' day to day needs.
Significant duties and responsibilities include:
- Communicating psychiatric (physical and emotional) conditions of patients to the nursing staff
- Ensuring a safe environment through diligent observation of the physical environment as well as the patients' status
- Ensuring the comfort of patients during and between treatments
- Completing and documenting patients' vital signs
- Assisting with the bathing, dressing and/or feeding of patients based on individual abilities
- Maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
- Assisting the Activity Coordinator with implementation of group activity sessions
- Completing patient inventory
- Assisting with basic clerical duties
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
