What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe?
The Maintenance Technician operates under the direct supervision of the Environment of Care Director. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
The Maintenance Technician performs minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary. This position is responsible for following preventative maintenance measures and maintaining inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
The Maintenance Technician completes inspections of offices and laboratories with Environment of Care Director. The Maintenance Technician must respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols.
Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High school diploma/GED required.
License: None
Experience: Experienced in operating a variety of equipment: including lawn mowers and small hand tools.
Effective written and oral communication skills, Able to work well with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
