Position Overview:

At Freedom Boat Club, we are committed to delivering an exceptional boating experience to our Freedom Boat Club customers. Our network of boat clubs offers a wide range high-quality boats, outstanding customer service, and expert Marine Operating Centers, all fueled by our passion for the boating lifestyle.

 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Marine Operating Center as a Mobile Patch & Detail Technician. In this dynamic role, you will assess, make minor fiberglass, engine and upholstery repairs, ensuring our customers receive a top-tier boating experience. Your hands-on expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Essential Functions:

  • Repairs fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using spray gun with paint, buffer with wax, polish, compound, fillers, putty, and/or paste
  • Hand tools may include gel-coat spray equipment, grinders, buffer, drill, or other specialty tools and fixtures
  • Responsible for parts inspection and understand fiberglass finish or basic use of abrasives
  • Works following specific job instructions, frequently reading and providing verbal and/or written status of part completion
  • May include handling and application of solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax along with proper disposal
  • Ability to recognize and protect precious boat components while performing finishing duties
  • Deep cleanse, remove mold, and apply protective products to upholstery
  • Light repair as needed for vessel
  • Anything else needed or asked upon

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Anything else needed or asked upon

Travel Requirements:

  • This position is mobile and expected to travel across the state of Florida on a daily basis

Working Conditions:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements could include full face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical resistant suits
  • Ability to work a 10 hour shift standing, bending, reaching
  • Moderate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (may be above 100 ambient degrees or below 10 ambient degrees in areas of production)
  • Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environment
  • Ability to work overtime (planned and unplanned)

The anticipated pay range for this position is$18.50 to $25.50, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
