Role Overview: As Dock Staff at Freedom Boat Club of Hampton Roads, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our members have a smooth and enjoyable boating experience. This is a part-time, on-site position where you’ll be responsible for managing dock operations, assisting members, and maintaining the boats and dock area. You'll provide top-tier service and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage boat traffic on the docks
- Fuel boats and maintain the dock and boat areas
- Assist members with their boating needs and ensure they have a seamless experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a red-carpet experience for all members
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Willingness to learn or ability to operate powerboats and navigate safely around the docks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must complete the Virginia Boater Safety Certificate (free online course)
