POSITION :
Freedom Classical Academy is a unique and innovative middle school committed to providing a hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experience. Unlike traditional middle schools, our students focus on two main subject areas : STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and Humanities . We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Humanities teachers to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year.
This position is specifically for Humanities teachers who will teach English Language Arts (ELA) and History to students in grades 6-8. You will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in both subjects, helping them build strong literacy and critical thinking skills while deepening their understanding of history and the world around them. This role emphasizes interdisciplinary teaching that fosters a love for reading, writing, and historical inquiry, empowering students to become thoughtful, informed, and engaged citizens.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Manage student behavior, ensuring respect, cooperation, and adherence to school rules.
- Plan, prepare, and execute daily lessons, assignments, and educational activities.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and critical thinking.
- Track and analyze student progress, providing timely feedback on academic and behavioral issues.
- Identify students’ individual learning needs and provide extra support or accommodations where necessary.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administrators regarding student progress, school activities, and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other documentation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Participate in student pick-up or drop-off, as assigned.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by school administration, such as supervising extracurricular activities or assisting with school-wide initiatives.
