What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Drywall Superintendent position at Freedom Interiors Group?
We are a fast growing Commercial Interiors Contracting group. We specialize in Metal stud framing, Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings and other specialty interior products as well as exterior cladding.
We are looking for qualified Superintendents in building commercial projects in Metal Framing, Drywall and Acoustical Ceilings. Must have a minimum 5 years experience in the drywall/ceilng industry. Must have great attitude, motivation and a willingness to learn and work hard with attention to detail. Ability to personally perform these task is a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to run large commercial construction jobs focused specifically o metal stud framing drywall and ceilings. This includes but is not limited to knowing what type of labor is needed to complete the task including the quantity, quality and timeliness of deliverables, discern skill level for the specific task and appoint the right people to the right task, manage appropriate installation of the work, check for quality and be able to look ahead to see problems that could arise, in conjunction with project manager manage and be accountable for labor hours for each task, guide and direct crews to accurately install their work, accurately report time and work completed to office by 7am Monday morning.
- Accountable for assuring that assigned jobs adhere to the standards for safety, customer and team relationships, quality, schedule, and production
- Responsible for working with an outsourced safety consultant to build, maintain and manage a safe work environment for the field staff.
- Responsible for developing team members by setting goals, timelines, expectations and quarterly EDM with members to monitor development.
- Develop and manage an annual schedule of training required for field staff that correlates with employee development. New product training installation to prepare the team for future installations.
- Be actively involved in the recruitment, selection, placement and evaluation process of all assigned individuals; both employees and subcontractors
- Develop good customer relationships to assure that they are the partner that helps drive the job with the General Contractor/customer or client
- Ensure that all employees and team adhere to State, Federal, and Local rules and regulations
- Assuring that the assigned team members time sheets are accurate, determining appropriate pay levels, assessing skills and rewarding/disciplining in relation to their performance
- Responsible for teaching foremen, recruiting, interviewing, assessing and hiring staff to work on the jobs under the supervision of foremen

Requirements/Experience:
- Candidates should have at least five (5) years of commercial drywall experience as a foreman or higher
- Proven ability to lead people and develop strong customer and team relationships
- Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and focus
- Understands and can instruct drywall and ceiling industry’s labor, materials and methods
- Technology friendly
- Able to multitask and manage multiple projects
