Gas Measurement Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical/technical knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry. This role involves operating, maintaining, calibrating and repairing various gas-related equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. The Gas Technician will work closely with other team members and company representatives to support the successful execution of projects while adhering to industry standards.

Duties

• Operate and maintain gas equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on equipment, including logic controllers and distributed control systems.
• Conduct repairs on heavy equipment as needed, demonstrating proficiency in mechanical repair techniques.
• Collaborate with team members to build and install new systems or components as required.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data analysis related to gas operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality control, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• Strong mechanical/technical knowledge with the ability to operate independently and effectively.
• Familiarity with logic controllers, distributed control systems, and upstream operations is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
• Basic math skills for performing calculations related to job duties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
