Summary:
Perform assigned functions within Escrow Administration timely and accurately while remaining compliant with all state, federal and investor guidelines. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies, agents and internal teams.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with outsourcing vendors for information and account updates relative to, insurance tracking and hazard loss claims.
- Reconcile disbursements and escrow refunds.
- Assist with vendor issues, such as pulling legal descriptions, escrow status, etc.
- Assist with audits, procuring documents, and other clerical duties.
- Handle/process checks and wires, stop payments, return checks and refunds.
- Communicate with insurance agents, and carriers to verify policy details to resolve discrepancies.
- Research items related insurance matters, loss draft claims and/or escalated client issues.
- Assist in identifying any issues related to escrow shortages and overages.
- Perform various functions on mortgage servicing system, including but not limited to, review/clear assigned tasks within required timeframes; document required notations; monitor vendor tasks and responses.
- Prompt research and response within 24 hours to all emails
- Assist with department audit requests.
- Advise supervisor/manager of status of work, unresolved escalated items and/or potential risk/exposure issues.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed- oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years mortgage servicing experience preferably in homeowners’ insurance, and flood, Insurance and/or loss draft claims areas
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Change Management Certification such as CCMP (Certified Change Management Professional) preferred

Problems and issues faced are general to difficult and may require understanding of broader set of issues but typically are not complex. May require familiarity with the financial/mortgage (or job-specific) industry. Problems require understanding of other job areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
