Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director to lead our organization in providing exceptional services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. Duties
- Oversee the development and implementation of programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in Offices of Developmental Programs (ODP) both Residential and Community Habilitation Programs.
- Collaborate with staff to create individualized plans that address the unique needs of each client, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and behavior management.
- Provide training and support to staff on effective strategies for working with individuals with diverse needs.
- Foster relationships with families, caregivers, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusion and accessibility within the community.
- Monitor program effectiveness through regular assessments and feedback, making adjustments as necessary.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals served by the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Social Work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting ADLs.
- Experience in caregiving roles is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership/ management experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive initiatives that promote positive outcomes for clients.
- A compassionate approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
