IDD Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director to lead our organization in providing exceptional services to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential services, special education, caregiving, and social work, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This leadership role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively manage programs while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Duties

• Oversee the development and implementation of programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in Offices of Developmental Programs (ODP) both Residential and Community Habilitation Programs.
• Collaborate with staff to create individualized plans that address the unique needs of each client, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and behavior management.
• Provide training and support to staff on effective strategies for working with individuals with diverse needs.
• Foster relationships with families, caregivers, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
• Drive initiatives that promote inclusion and accessibility within the community.
• Monitor program effectiveness through regular assessments and feedback, making adjustments as necessary.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals served by the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Social Work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting ADLs.
• Experience in caregiving roles is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership/ management experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to drive initiatives that promote positive outcomes for clients.
• A compassionate approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
