The Store Manager is accountable for leading profitable operations of the store and is responsible
for driving the focal points of the company's goals. The Store Manager is also responsible for
adhering to Freedom Outdoors mission statement, operating principles, and vision. The
Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Operation Team and associates adhere to the
mission statement, operating principles, and vision. The Store Manager maintains exceptional
customer service by mentoring and directing The Operations Team and associates. The Store
Manager is responsible for the merchandising and general appearance of the store front. The
Store Manager spends time on the sales floor contributing to the growth and development of
the staff through perpetual teaching, coaching, and sales management. The Store Manager
ensures that all customers are being serviced quickly and efficiently, and constantly coaches the
staff on how to improve the overall service of the store. The Store Manager detects and
corrects deficiencies through direct supervision of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and maintains an exceptional guest experience
- Effectively communicates and partners with leadership staff to drive alignment, establish store direction and provide timely resolution of operational issues
- Analyzes and interprets financial reporting to assess opportunities and forecast future sales volume, determine successes in department's key areas and provides guidance to store team for continuous improvement
- Reviews and analyzes store's shrink and safety performance; identify trends and implement appropriate game plans for improvement
- Drives operations and budget performance by reducing costs while maintaining standards, achieving shrinkage goals, managing labor costs and other controllable expenses
- Teaches, coaches, and trains operations team members and associates on operational
processes, merchandising standards, store appearance and profitability; coach, counsel
and discipline operations team members and associates as needed for continuous
improvement - Creates a safe working environment and a culture of operational excellence
- Continuously monitors merchandise inventory and ensure follow-through to resolve out-of-stock items
- Create and implement monthly sales and promotions
- Recruits and hires qualified associates adhering to established pay guidelines
- Team member skill assessment, development, and strategic placement
- Monitors and balances associate schedule
- Facilitates monthly staff meeting
- Understands and be proficient in firearms sales and forms as required by Federal and State
and Local laws; Form 4473, Multiple Handgun Sale (MHS) Form, Call procedures and
Response Implications

Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
• Prior retail management experience, preferably in the firearm industry
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal, persuasive, leadership and negotiation skills required to interact with all
levels of the store and ownership team
• Proven ability to manage processes and to lead and develop solid teams, build relationships,
and influence decisions
• Strong knowledge of computer programs (MS Office)
• Knowledge of internal software systems
• Ability to monitor key performance indicators
• Desire and ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
