With integrity, a solid work ethic and empathy for older adults, you can create a long, satisfying, and fruitful senior living career at Freedom Village of Bradenton.ABOUT THE ROLE : Licensed Practical Nurse (Assisted Living) is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated in our Assisted Living and Memory Care Units..Here are the of the duties you will perform : PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Administers medications.
• Administers treatments, including, but not limited to : dressings, catherization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care as necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.Other Duties :
• Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
• Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
• Makes rounds with physicians and transcribes orders.
• Keeps physician and family aware of change in resident's condition.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
• Assures continuity of services and care.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS : In order to qualify for this job you will need :
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida
• 6 months nursing experience, geriatric experience is preferred.
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.Physical Requirements of position : Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand / walk for up to 70% of the work day; must be able to lift , transfer, turn and position residents weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs. May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally. May be exposed to communicable diseases including the HIV and HBV viruses.
