The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for researching, organizing, scheduling and running group outings and individual resident requests. Vehicles assigned to this department shall also be maintained.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages is recruiting for a hospitality focused Transportation Coordinator to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Transportation Coordinator:
- Schedule medical and non-medical transportation appointments for Health Center residents. This will include obtaining medical itineraries from various institutions.
- Maintaining the transportation spreadsheet and distribute to drivers, concierges and caregiver offices each day.
- Monthly posting of resident transportation and outing expenses in our POS system.
- Transport residents to routine scheduled excursions and resident requested appointments.
- Schedule routine preventive maintenance for vehicle.
- To keep vehicles in repair and observe safety regulations and requirements.
- To communicate well with the residents and staff.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles, inside and out.
- Keep records and schedule of individual resident requests and transports them to destination.
- Keeps records of mileage and gas purchases and submit bills to supervisor.
- Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
- Must be flexible with work availability to accommodate event and transportation needs.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Administrative Services.
Qualifications:
- CDL: Commercial Driver's License in Florida with Passenger Endorsement Required
- Dispatch Experience Preferred
- High school education required; a college degree is preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicates effectively, reads maps efficiently, and performs simple arithmetic.
- Must have extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office software programs.
- Having experience and knowledge with the EMR software, Vision is preferred.
- Must have experience and knowledge of working with a POS/ accounting system.
- Must have a good driving record.
- Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with the residents and staff members at all times
